Wall Art and Decor – A Perfect Gift Idea
It always happens that whenever we go shopping for gifts whether it is for a birthday, wedding, Christmas or any other occasion, we find it hard to look for the perfect gift. This does not have to happen anymore if you consider giving wall art and décor as gifts.
Wall arts are a great gift idea for a number of reasons. One is because they are perfect for almost any occasion. You can give wall art as a gift for birthdays, weddings, Christmas, bridal showers, housewarming, Thanksgiving and whatever kind of occasion or season you can think of.
Second, you do not have to know the size of the person you are giving the gift to unlike if you buy other kinds of gifts like clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, hats and so on. You only have to know the personal style and preference of the recipient of the gift for you to find the ideal wall art gift for him or her. This is quite easy because you can just look into the person’s lifestyle, take a peek inside his or her home, or have a close look at how he or she dresses up, and you instantly get an idea on what kind of things this person likes.
For example, if you have a friend whom you know is a sports fanatic, a sports wall art is something that he would really appreciate. For your cousin, who owns a modern styled home, you might consider giving her a modern abstract wall art. For your officemate who is a known music aficionado, a musical notes wall décor would surely make him happy.
Moreover, wall art are timeless, practical and beautiful. They hardly get outdated, which means that years from now it would be a great idea to give wall décor as gifts for family and friends. This is also practical because this can be of great use for any home or office space to give life and brighten up any room. Finally, wall art are beautiful pieces that can surely be pleasing to anyone’s eyes.
If you are thinking of buying wall art as gift for your family or friends, here are some excellent gift shopping tips that you should consider:
1. Take into account the preferences of the person you are giving the gift to.
This will make sure that the recipient of your gift will appreciate the gift you will give. As mentioned earlier, it is not that difficult to have an idea of what a person likes. You can see it through the way he or she decorates the home, or the way he or she dresses up.
2. Formulate a budget.
Buying gifts does not mean you have to spend a fortune. Setting a budget will help you avoid spending beyond what you can afford.
3. Consider shopping online.
The Internet is the convenient place to go shopping because all you have to do is sit in front of the computer, order that abstract painting or sports wall art that you like and then voila, the item will arrive in front of your doorstep after a few days.
With wall art, you do not need to stress yourself anymore finding the perfect gift that will surely be loved by the person you are giving it to.

Four or five of the may look identical but they are not – Only variations in the mounting shapes. Typically, these are painted on canvas in oils or acrylics. Easiest procedure: [1] Tack one large canvas or coated paper over a large piece [say 3 ft x 4 ft for instance] of plywood or hardboard; OR simply paint directly on 1/2″ – 1″ thick Rhino Board. [Rhino Board is simply thick Foam Core Board]. [2] If using canvas, place 1″ strips painters tape vertically every 12″ or so, depending upon the overall size of the base. Paint directly over the tape as if it weren’t there. BEFORE the paint has dried, remove the tape. The white backing showing through is where you will cut and separate the painted pieces for mounting. Of course, if using coated paper, the finished painting will need to be dry mounted or glued on Rhino Board. [3] If you are not a decent artist, you could simply scan the Internet for HI-RES photos, download them onto a disk and have them commercially printed as posters. [4] You can also project picture and then trace outlines with a pencil and then paint the images. After that, you can cut and mount them on a backing yourself [which will save you TONS of money]. You can also transfer images to the canvas or paper with an opaque projector [rent or buy one]. Good luck!
